Job description

AS Software provides physicians and sonographers with the leading ultrasound reporting and image management cloud solution. Our application, AS Online, is a critical component of delivering care to patients in obstetrics and maternal-fetal medicine. We are hiring a deployment engineer to plan, coordinate, and execute the deployment of software, systems, or applications into environments. They will ensure smooth rollouts, troubleshoot issues, and work closely with development, quality assurance, and operations teams to support the continuous delivery process.

 

What You Could Do

• Use Terraform and Ansible to deploy a new AS Online environment in Azure
• Collaborate directly with clients to address technical questions and considerations, i.e. establish VPN connection, complete image and database migrations, and other related tasks, ensuring a seamless transition to our Azure cloud environment
• Create HIPAA-compliant backup policies that protects patient PHI
• Integrate with the CI/CD pipeline to automatically prepare customer environments for upgrade

The ideal candidate has…

• 2-4+ years of experience in software support or deployment
• 1+ years of experience with deployment automation technologies
• Experience with a hodgepodge of common software and cloud technologies, some of which might be Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Docker, shell scripting, relational databases
• Understanding of basic network topology, CIDR notation, NAT and VPN concepts
• A 4-year Bachelor’s degree or completion of a high-quality bootcamp or certification program
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others inside and outside the engineering team
