About the Role:
We’re seeking an experienced Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing sales and marketing team. This is a hybrid role and will office in the Overland Park, KS location.
As a BDR, you will be responsible for creating qualified sales pipeline for the AS Software sales organization through effective inbound and outbound prospecting and methodical qualification. Your focus will be to contact and develop relationships with potential customers through account research, calling, emailing, and social touchpoints. Success means overachieving in leading KPIs and consistently delivering qualified opportunities for sales discovery that ultimately advance to closed bookings and contribute to the long-term business growth of AS Software.

Responsibilities:
- Create and articulate compelling value propositions by persona
- Meet and exceed daily/weekly/monthly call and email activities
- Meet and exceed quarterly opportunity goals
- Log activities, outcomes, and tasks in Salesforce and Outreach
- Craft new email sequences by persona
- Align with the sales team to identify key accounts and develop a territory planning strategy
- Conduct research on key accounts to identify appropriate contacts
- Connect and build rapport with key account contacts through custom, personalized messaging with outbound emails, video messages, cold calling, and social touchpoints
- Develop an understanding of a key account’s buying structure, needs, pain points, current solutions, and challenges
- Continuously nurture prospect relationships over a long period of time
- Manage multiple priorities at once that include target account assignments, campaign and event respondents, and inbound chat/sales line inquiries
- Identify needs, educate, and suggest appropriate solutions/services for prospects
- Proactively update and cleanse CRM data on an ongoing basis
- Follow qualification criteria to create opportunities and schedule discovery calls for sales-ready leads
- Schedule and attend discovery calls between prospects and sales to conduct a warm handoff
- Report to the Manager, Business Development on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results
- Align with Demand Gen to plan the timing for campaign follow-up, and provide closed-loop feedback on campaign results
- Stay up to date with new solutions/services and sales techniques
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience in a call center or sales/business development role
- Track record of achieving sales quotas
- Experience with CRM software – preferably Salesforce
- Familiarity with a marketing automation platform for lead routing and prioritization – Hubspot, Pardot, Eloqua, or Marketo
- Experience with sales engagement or data acquisition tools – SalesLoft, Outreach, Zoominfo, DiscoverOrg
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Able to work between 8 am-5 pm CT
- Able to work in the Overland Park, KS office
