About the Role: 

We are looking for an experienced and highly talented Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team to help bring AS Software’s next generation of products to market. The Ideal candidate will have two years of experience creating applications in the medical industry. 

 

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will… 

  • Build new web components with the latest version of React 
  • Create API endpoints to receive complex patient data from multiple hospital systems 
  • Deploy a new website for expecting mothers to share sonogram images with their friends and family 
  • Refactor data structures to better organize anatomy measurements captured in ultrasound studies 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Write efficient code for the frontend, backend, and integration layers of our product suite 
  • Solve technical issues including software system debugging, performance troubleshooting, and database query optimization 
  • Follow coding guidelines to ensure style, test coverage, security, and compliance requirements 
  • Provide high-quality feedback in pull request and code review processes 
  • Work well with teammates within the SCRUM process and Agile methodology 
  • Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to ensure a well-executed process, great software, and happy customers 

 

Skills & Abilities: 

  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles, relational databases, and REST-like APIs 
  • Ability to write modern JavaScript and HTML within frameworks like React, Angular, etc. 
  • Great communication skills 
  • Work independently and in conjunction with a team  
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude  
  • Versatile and able to learn quickly 

 

Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science (CS) or in a related discipline combined with completion of high-quality Intensive CS training program, bootcamp, ect. 
  • 2-3+ years development experience  
  • Experience working with modern application technologies such as: languages (C#, JavaScript, Rust), databases (Microsoft SQL Server or Mongo DB), API’s (REST, GraphQL, gRPC), front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, Next.js), and event services (Kafka or RabbitMQ). 
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies; SCRUM; Kanban, ect.

Work Environment: Hybrid, able to work in the Overland Park, KS or Remote  

Hours/Shift: Able to work 8:00 am – 5:00 pm CT Monday – Friday
